Your Donations in Yemen Are Still Crucial

Believe in Allah and His Messenger, and donate from what He has entrusted you with. So those of you who believe and donate will have a mighty reward.”

Al-Qur’an, (57:7)

Millions in Yemen are still trapped in the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. Yemen’s civil war began back in 2015 and over the course of the years, the aftermath has taken a heavy toll on civilians. Approximately 4.5 million Yemenis continue to be displaced.

Together with your continued support, Global Ehsan Relief has provided multiple types of Emergency Relief to the blessed people of Yemen. Here are some ways that your donations are saving thousands of lives in need:

You are relieving them from hunger

More than 8 million people in Yemen do not know where their next meal will be coming from. Hunger and famine is a great problem in the country. With widespread inflation and little livelihood opportunities, many can no longer afford basic meals. In Yemen, malnutrition rates, especially among women and children remain among the highest in the world. Almost 2 million children there are facing acute malnutrition.

Over the years, you have helped us to distribute 2,157 life-saving food aid packs, 14,500 cooked meals and 400 milk for children in Yemen. Each food aid pack gives a struggling family all they need to survive the next few days, especially nutritious and vital food to keep them away from hunger.

We’re currently preparing for the 5th phase of our Yemen Emergency Appeal and we aim to deliver these important and nutritious food aid packs to more people in need.

You are providing clean, drinking water

Yemen is one of the world’s most water-scarce countries, with access to this vital source of life made harder by the long conflict. Across the country, the lack of safe drinking water is a big challenge for many rural villages. With climate change making rainfall infrequent and less reliable, the water crisis gets worse.

With your help, we have aided rural communities across Yemen by improving access to potable water and bringing clean water to them. Together, we have provided an amazing 7,425,000 litres of clean water to support vulnerable Yemeni families.

For the 5th phase of our Yemen Emergency Appeal, we will continue to provide vital clean water to families in need in Yemen.

You are helping them live better

Across the country, only half of all health facilities are fully functional. Even then, there is limited access to reach these facilities. As a result of this, vulnerable communities in Yemen are struggling to receive basic healthcare, and this takes a huge toll on the people, especially those who suffer from chronic illnesses.

Over the years, we have worked with our partners on the ground to ensure these communities receive basic yet vital Hygiene Kits to improve their standard of living.

But the fight is not over yet. Just in the first quarter of this year alone, more than 13,000 new cases of measles, 8,777 cases of dengue fever and more than 2,000 suspected cholera cases were reported. The actual numbers could be higher.

This means that we still need your support in providing crucial aid, in the form of hygiene kits, baby milk, food aid packs and clean water to ensure that these families will be receiving all the basic needs they need for a better standard of life.

Your donation saves lives

For the past six years, you have continued giving your endless support and stood by the blessed people of Yemen. You have helped us to distribute urgent aid whenever the need for it arises.

And the need will always be there.

We urge you to continue sending your donations and support to the Yemeni community, the people who are beloved to Allah S.W.T. and His Messenger S.A.W.

Show your unwavering support to the people of Yemen and help us deliver our life-saving aid in Yemen. Through our Yemen Emergency Appeal, let’s make a life-saving difference today.
