A mosque is the heart of any Muslim community. Providing much more than a place of worship, many mosques offer education and are a base from which essential community services are delivered. The first and foremost duty performed by the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon Him, entering Madinah was to build a Mosque.
GER, together with our international partners, build new mosques and reconstructs damaged mosques in several countries. You can donate the whole cost of the mosque or part of it. It is an excellent form of Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity) as the donor can expect to receive rewards as long as people worship there. Help build a mosque and you would receive sadaqah jariyah as duas made there are attributed to those who supported the construction of the mosque. Currently we have mosque building projects in Cambodia, Tanzania, Aceh.
'Whosoever builds a house (masjid) for the pleasure of Allah, whether it be small or large, Allah builds for him a house in Paradise.'
