The Gift of Warmth: Winter Clothes for Vulnerable Families
This November, we’ve launched our Winter Emergency Appeal, a campaign dedicated to bringing vital relief to thousands of refugee families braving the harsh winter season. As temperatures plummet, the need for warm clothing becomes an urgent priority for families living in crisis. Here's where your generosity can change lives.
For millions displaced by conflict and natural disasters, surviving the harsh winter without proper winter wear is a daily battle. Thin, worn-out clothes fail to shield children and adults from freezing winds and icy rain, leaving them vulnerable to illness and hardship
Hearing Their Winter Struggles
Among those facing these challenges are Mrs. Kafaa and Mr. Muhammad, a family living in Camp Ghaniyyah for the past seven years after fleeing Dirzour, Syria, and traveling to Acakale. Their family of six, including four beautiful young children, struggles to make ends meet. Two of their youngest children still require milk, but their limited resources make it unaffordable. Mr. Muhammad works tirelessly in the cotton fields, but the meagre income barely covers their basic necessities.
One of their biggest struggles during winter is the lack of warm clothes and blankets. Their tent, already poorly equipped, offers little protection from the cold rain. Despite these challenges, Mrs. Kafaa and Mr. Muhammad remain hopeful and grateful.
“We pray for the donors who have given us our daily necessities. May they be blessed with good health, and may all their affairs be eased. Aamiin.”
Your support can provide families like theirs with a lifeline. Our winter clothing bundles include essentials such as coats, scarves, gloves, and boots—items that offer not only warmth but also the dignity and hope to face the cold months ahead. For just $75, you can ensure that a vulnerable family receives the protection they desperately need this winter.
This winter, let’s come together to wrap families like Mrs. Kafaa’s in compassion and care. Your generosity can turn their prayers into a reality and their winter into one of hope and comfort.
