For years, the village of Trapeang Sbaek Vaille in the Kratie Province of Cambodia grappled with the challenges of an aging and inadequate mosque. However, thanks to the benevolence of the Global Ehsan Relief community, the dreams of the villagers were recently turned into reality with the inauguration of Masjid Kampong Trapeang Sbaek – Global Ehsan Relief's 54th mosque. This new sanctuary stands as a testament to the transformative power of generosity, providing a spacious, safe, and beautifully designed space for prayer, study, and community gatherings.
The official grand inaugural ceremony of Masjid Kampong Trapeang Sbaek was a momentous occasion, graced by His Excellence La Lay, Secretary of State, Ministry of Cult and Religion. Ustaz Zahry Mosa, the Manager of Global Ehsan Relief Cambodia, expressed gratitude, saying, “Alhamdulillah, we and our donors came to conduct the official grand inaugural ceremony of Masjid Kampong Trapeang Sbaek."
In addition to the mosque, the villagers were provided with new prayer mats, prayer wear, and Qur'an to complement the newly built place of worship. Our Global Ehsan Relief team also distributed essential Food Aid to those in need and snacks for the children, enhancing the impact of our humanitarian efforts.
Ms. Ismail, a villager, joyfully shared, “The new mosque brings us immense joy and ease. Our happiness is beyond words. May Allah S.W.T. bless the donors with peace and safety in this life and the Hereafter." The transformative effect of the mosque on the community was evident, providing not only a place of worship but also a source of joy and solace for the villagers.
The success of Masjid Kampong Trapeang Sbaek wouldn't have been possible without the generosity of our donors. Mr. Naharudin (pictured above, most right), one such donor of the mosque, expressed his satisfaction, saying, “We feel very surprised and very satisfied because the mosque looks very, very nice. It’s really quite beautiful to look at. I’m very sure that the people in this village will look to come to this mosque for their prayers.”
