Together, we've raised over $5.2 million, touching countless lives across the globe. Here are the top five milestones we achieved together this year.
1. Celebrating 10 Years of Compassion and Impact
This year marked a decade of GERWW's journey in serving humanity. Ten years of building hope, restoring lives, and bringing relief to those who need it most. To commemorate this special milestone, we launched meaningful anniversary projects that expanded our reach even further.
Our 10th anniversary gave us the perfect opportunity to reflect on a decade of impact while looking ahead. Across all of our offices worldwide, we rolled out special anniversary projects that brought our global community together in powerful ways. The support you showed through these initiatives proved that our community's compassion only grows stronger with time. Every contribution, whether big or small, became part of a larger story of generosity that spans a decade.
2. Standing Strong with Gaza Through Every Phase
When crisis strikes, you don't turn away. That's the powerful message our community sent through unwavering support for Palestine throughout 2025. Together, we raised over $510,000 for the Palestine Emergency Appeal, making it our largest single emergency response this year.
Our phased approach to supporting Gaza ensured that help reached those who needed it most, when they needed it most. From immediate emergency relief to ongoing support for displaced families, we've been there through every phase of this humanitarian crisis. Your contributions provided food, medical supplies, shelter materials, and hope to families enduring unimaginable hardship.
But Gaza wasn't the only emergency that called for our response. You also showed up for Lebanon, Sudan, Yemen, and communities affected by ongoing crises in Afghanistan, Syria, and beyond. Our Global Emergency Response fund also raised over $78,000, ensuring we could respond swiftly wherever disaster struck. The numbers tell a story of sustained commitment across multiple humanitarian frontlines.
3. Building Our 150th Mosque and Breaking Waqf Records
2025 was a landmark year for our Waqf projects, and the crown jewel was the completion of our 150th mosque! Imagine that: 150 houses of worship where communities gather, children learn, and hearts find peace. Through the Waqf Masjid initiative alone, we raised over $586,000 this year, with additional support through our prayer space and mosque refurbishment programs.
But the blessings didn't stop at mosques. Our comprehensive Waqf portfolio transformed communities in ways that will benefit generations to come. We established water wells that quench the thirst of entire villages, with over $171,000 dedicated to hand-pump wells and nearly $80,000 to hybrid water systems. Our Waqf Quran projects, including innovative Braille and digital Braille editions, raised over $94,000 to spread the light of knowledge to those with visual impairments.
Each of these Waqf projects represents ongoing acts of worship that continue to generate rewards long after your contribution. Every prayer in those mosques, every sip from those wells, every verse read from those Qurans becomes a testament to your generosity.
4. Our First Teach English Mission to Aceh and Expanding Deployments
This year, we broke new ground with our very first Teach English mission to Aceh, Indonesia. This pioneering deployment marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter in how we serve communities. Our volunteers brought more than language skills. They brought cultural exchange, educational opportunities, and hope for a brighter future to young learners in Aceh.
The success of this mission demonstrated that our impact extends beyond emergency relief. We're investing in education, empowerment, and long-term development. Teaching English opens doors to better employment, higher education, and global connections for students who might otherwise lack these opportunities.
Our deployment teams continued to show incredible dedication across various initiatives, bringing hands-on support where it's needed most. Each mission strengthens the bonds between our global community and reminds us that true change happens when we show up, roll up our sleeves, and work alongside those we serve.
5. Launching Jumaah Giving and Our Recurring Giving Hub
Sometimes the best ideas are the simplest ones. This year, we introduced Jumaah Giving, inviting our community to make Friday even more blessed by incorporating regular giving into this special day. The response was phenomenal, with over $51,000 raised through this beautiful initiative.
But we didn't stop there. We launched our Recurring Giving Hub, making it easier than ever to establish consistent, meaningful support for the causes you care about. Through our GEMs (Give Every Month) General Fund, we raised nearly $62,000!
Why does this matter? Because sustainable change requires sustainable giving. When you commit to regular contributions, you become a pillar of support that communities can count on. You ensure that a child's sponsorship doesn't end, that a widow's food supply remains steady, and that our emergency response capacity stays strong.

From emergency responses in Lebanon, Sudan, and Yemen to long-term Waqf projects that will serve communities for generations, every dollar you contributed carried immense purpose.
