Celebrating the Opening of Masjid Hajjah Azizah Ahmad
A New Sanctuary for Ta Doeb Village
At the heart of Ta Doeb village in Kampot, Cambodia, a joyous occasion brought together the local community and supporters of Global Ehsan Relief. The inauguration of Masjid Hajjah Azizah Ahmad marked a significant milestone for the villagers, who now have a dedicated and comfortable place for daily prayers and community gatherings, thanks to the generosity of our donors.
During the opening ceremony, Global Ehsan Relief extended a warm hand of support to the village. We were able to distribute essential items to enhance both their spiritual and daily lives, including:
50 food aid packages,
50 prayer cloths for women,
50 sarongs for men,
50 prayer mats for the mosque,
50 Qurans, and
150 hot meals prepared for the villagers.
This small but welcoming masjid, measuring 8 by 10 meters, can accommodate 125-150 worshippers. It has been a long-awaited improvement for the community, replacing the old structure made from palm leaves and zinc, which had become inadequate and uncomfortable over time. With the new mosque, villagers now have a dignified and serene space to gather, pray, and connect.
A Grateful Community Welcomes the New Masjid
On the day of the inauguration, the donor, who funded the construction of the masjid in memory of his mother, attended the ceremony with his family. For them, it was an emotional and inspiring experience as they witnessed the completed mosque for the first time and saw firsthand how their contribution had enriched the community’s lives. The people of Ta Doeb warmly welcomed the donor, expressing their heartfelt gratitude for this meaningful gift. The donor shared his appreciation for Global Ehsan Relief’s efforts and pledged to continue supporting our projects to uplift rural communities worldwide.

With this new mosque, they now have a welcoming place to turn for daily prayers, spiritual guidance, and community gatherings—a comfort that was previously out of reach for many.
